Anxiety & OCD

Endlessly worrying or “planning” through the day? Or maybe it keeps you up at night and you stay as distracted as possible throughout the day? What about the fast heartbeat, stomach issues, body aches and headaches? Any combo of those occurring more often than you’d like? Is it a struggle, or maybe it feels impossible, to actually be present and focused when you would like to or need to?

Perhaps you’re approaching a life transition, like a new job, new relationship or move, and are feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the uncertainty, choices and details.

Let’s work on getting that anxiety out of the driver seat and getting you back in control. I bet that may sound impossible right now. Through our work together, first we will better understand what anxiety means to you and identify what triggers the anxiety. While anxiety is very common, it looks different in each person and is triggered by different things.

We will discuss and practice concrete strategies and develop healthy routines to lower the volume on those anxious thoughts. Check out my free resource on real time ways to manage the anxiety. We will also need to dig a bit deeper and examine some of the lies anxiety shouts at us. Anxiety says, not only are you in danger, but that this danger is greater than your ability to manage/cope. Why else would we spend our time obsessively thinking and planning to prevent any mishap?

I am here to tell you anxiety is wrong. Together we will heal what needs healing and we will grow what needs growing to quiet that anxiety while rebuilding the self-trust.

We can plan, care for, tend & respond but we cannot control.
